Sewing for Jobs Graduation

Sewing for Jobs Graduation

June 27, 2019

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to the graduates of our Sewing For Jobs program. These students have worked so hard throughout their classes and showing off their amazing projects in a fashion show.

The Sewing For Jobs program helps immigrant, refugee and underemployed women learn and develop the skills to make a career in the clothing industry. Hands-on experience mixed with a professional workplace environment allow them to grow their confidence and sewing skills like professionals.

THANK YOU to The Ontario Trillium Foundation for their generous grant that helped this program flourish and allowed for more women to pass through our program. The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations. OTF awarded more than $120 million to some 700 projects last year to build healthy and vibrant communities in Ontario.
