In this course you will learn how to draft the basic blocks for a fitted dress and alter it into other designs.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Take body measurements
- Draft patterns of bodice, sleeve and skirt based on the measurements
- Make a muslin dress with the pattern you made to see the fitting
- Learn about pattern variations
- Create your own design and make the pattern
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING:
A notebook for taking notes
Extra material to work on the in-class project
The Material fee includes one tracing paper roll and 2 mts of muslin.
Extra muslin or fabric and notions are not included. The Instructor may provide you with a list of materials before or on the day of your first class. WHAT ECOEQUITABLE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH:
Our classrooms are equipped with vast variety of sewing tools and accessories that you may need to work on your projects while in-class.
EE will provide students with a pattern if necessary
