Master the art of cutting, fitting, and finishing clothes with accurate sewing skills that were once used and nailed by generations of master tailors and seamstress.

In this class, the students will learn how to customize, cut and fit tailored pants with pockets, fly zipper and waistband by using a commercial pattern. After achieving a perfect customized pattern according to student’s measurements, they will be asked to follow the sewing instructions for completing the tailored pants.

IN-CLASS PROJECT

In this course you will learn how to make a pair of Dress Pants.

YOU WILL LEARN: 

  • Traditional tailoring techniques
  • Tailoring stitches
  • Different threads and materials used with this technique for better results

ECOEQUITABLE WILL PROVIDE:

Please feel free to use our sewing equipment while you're in the classroom.

YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • A notebook for taking notes 
  • Fabric and notions to work on your projects 

MATERIALS

Materials are not included. A list of materials will be provided by your instructor before the first class and/or on the day of your first class.

PREREQUISTE:  Sewing Basic II or Intermediate/advanced sewing skills

Students will need a domestic sewing machine, iron, and basic sewing kit at home to practice and/or complete their in-class projects.
