E-textiles and having electronics in your clothes might sound like science- fiction but are actually a fun and easy way to learn all about electricity and building sensors. E-textiles combine learning craft techniques (such as sewing, weaving, knitting and crocheting) with the added excitement of making a circuit work.
In this 2-day crash course you will learn all the basic skills you need to start working on your own e-textile projects.
Beginners welcome, there are no pre-requisites for this course.

Day 1: Introduction to E-textiles (January 12)
In this class we will be going over what e-textiles are, what kinds of sensors and actuators you can build, and how to sew a circuit with conductive thread. Participants will leave with a special e-textile seam ripper that they can use to troubleshoot their circuits.

Day 2: Introduction to Soft Sensors (January 19)
In this class we will cover how to build soft sensors so you can add interactivity to your circuits. You will learn all about the different conductive and resistive soft materials you can use in your projects. Then we will go over some coding basics so that you can program your soft sensors
