Join us for our comprehensive beginner course!

Learn how to sew while exploring the world of fabric, commercial patterns, alterations, and classic sewing techniques.

IN-CLASS PROJECT

In this course, you will learn how to make a skirt or pyjama pants with an elastic waist.

YOU WILL LEARN: 

 

  • Operate a sewing machine
  • Beginners sewing techniques 
  • Properly press and iron garments for sewing
  • Take proper measurements
  • Identify and use various types of fabric, thread, and interfacing
  • Select the right fabric for your project
  • Work with a commercial pattern 


ECOEQUITABLE WILL PROVIDE:

Please feel free to use our sewing equipment while you're in the classroom.

  • A notebook for taking notes 
  • Fabric and notions to work on your projects

    MATERIALS

    A list of materials will be provided by your instructor before the first class and/or on the day of your first class.

    Prerequisite:

    No sewing experience is required.
