Carolina Nino began her Journey at EcEquitable in 2016 as a former beginner Sewing student, Volunteer and member of our former production team, and later graduated in Professional Design and Sewing Skills. Prior to that she was an Interior Designer in Costa Rica, with strong skill in strategy and business as a marketing and sales manager. Carolina speaks French, English, Spanish and Italian and identifies as she/her.
Carolina is a positive person who believes in honesty, compassion, kindness, generosity, empathy, which are strong reasons behind her passion in volunteering for different communities. She has experience backstage in Fashion Design, being a model, and supporting Runway for Hope Ottawa "Cheo" 14th and 15th fashion show editions, as well as Orkidstra Kids events, and others. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, meditation, pilates, and biking to be healthy. Her passion is to read books.
Most recently Carolina leads the day to day as program coordinator at EcoEquitable. Her mission on the team is build and organize the volunteer team, the structure effectiveness for growth in managing our Eco Fabric Boutique. She was motivated to be a part of Eco Equitable and in her own words, "I could see Eco Equitable as a bridge networking, building partnerships to develop goals for newcomers immigrants women. Be a nice human, be a hope for others, give love and have compassion, and remember you are unique!"
