Emily Cox, Director
Emily Cox moved to Ottawa in 2016 to join the federal public service after completing her
Master of Public Administration at Queen’s University. Her work has spanned a range of policy issues, including addressing the opioid overdose crisis and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. She currently works in emergency preparedness and response policy at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Emily brings deep expertise in governance, strategic foresight, and stakeholder engagement, underpinned by her commitment to advancing equity and social justice.
Emily maintains a personal passion for sewing and fiber arts, reflecting her belief in the power of creative skills to foster opportunity, connection, and empowerment. Today, she is rarely found without her latest project in her bag.
