Fatima believes in the importance of clothes that fit well. For her, the Eco Equitable Sewing for Jobs program was the perfect place to learn to do so whilst being given the opportunity to make extra cash should the opportunity arise.

Favourite Memory at EcoEquitable: 

Too many to list. Notable ones include:

• Lunch time in which everyone would share food and get to know more about each other.  
• The fashion show and the process behind it. “This included starting a garment from a pattern and getting a flawless fit that you are proud to wear on the runway. There is a lot of gratitude that one feels for the instructors and the team that helped you complete the course.”

Favourite Sewing Projects:

The "sleeping" pouches intended for phones. “It's fun to go through your scrap fabrics and match them up to create nice little pouches.”

Fatima has lived in 5 different countries on 2 continents.
