Graduate Sewists

Selina, 2023 Graduate Sewist

Selina was originally driven by her mother’s love of sewing and desires to build upon that in her own way. She has dreams for a future where fashion will be slow, made of quality material and fits perfectly again like decades past. She desires to be a seamstress that helps bring back slow fashion with attention to detail as the antidote to today's throw-away fast fashion. In doing so, she wants to be part of a culture change, returning to  when women invested in personalized "forever pieces," where "sustainability" was the norm and not a buzzword.
